60 minutes with a Nigerian Soldier fighting Boko Haram

Away from David "the loose cannon" Cameron, President Buhari and corruption, I have just spent perhaps my most difficult hour this year with a young Nigerian soldier who's on brief leave from his location in the infamous Sambisa Forest, where he and his fellow warriors are fighting the war against terror. Oh My God!!! I mean OMG!!!

I struggled to hold back tears, when I asked him whether he's not afraid to go back there given the number of his colleagues who have died and he said: "Some of have to die so others will live!" And he meant every word. So deep...so philosophical.

9 months in the North Eastern parts fighting day and night with Boko Haram, the young man is neither afraid nor tired and is ready to return to the trenches tomorrow. "Bros, we live everyday by His (God's) grace. That's all I can say. But we must fight on to defeat Boko Haram, and by the grace of God we are defeating them."

The interview has been stripped of images and names to protect the young man, still unmarried, with concerned and prayerful parents and siblings. He betrayed absolutely no emotions. He showed me photos and videos from the war front. Unbelievable images!

Watch out for the details coming soon.
